The voltage signals at generator and grid need to be adapted to a level suiting the signal inputs on the receiving ChorusCPU. This is done in the precision measurement transformer named ChorusTRAFO.

Protection is included against possible over-currents. Finally, the transformer features several primary windings handling a variety of input voltages.
